What if I lose my Social Security Disability Hearing?

Posted April 2, 2015 by Premier Disability Services, LLC® Following a denial of a claimant’s initial application for benefits and their request for reconsideration, the next step is to file a request for a hearing in front of an Administrative Law Judge. The harsh reality is that the majority of claimants who file for Social Security Disability benefits will eventually be required to appear at a hearing. This is not necessarily a bad thing. A hearing will give the claimant a chance to finally appear in person in front of the ultimate decision maker for their claim. However, Administrative Law Judges are human and they sometimes make errors in their decisions. As a result, good cases can be denied.

Can I work while I file for Social Security benefits?

This often leaves them without any income for significant periods of time. As a result, one of the most common questions we receive is about whether a claimant can work while their claim for disability benefits is pending. Tips for Completing the Work History Report

Posted March 19, 2015 by Premier Disability Services, LLC® After a claimant files an application for Social Security Disability benefits, the Social Security Administration (SSA) will send them a series of forms to complete and return to their office.  One of these forms is called a Work History Report.  (Also known as Form SSA-3369)  While this form appears to be pretty standard, it can be the difference between winning and losing a claim in some cases.  This article will discuss the purpose of the Work History Report and provide some tips on how to complete the form.
